I am an IT project manager working for the Electronic Medical Records department of U.T.M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

My work during the past eleven years have been in information systems, focusing on the opportunity to support the clinician community in the development of a comprehensive electronic medical record, expanding access to data, enhancing documentation capabilities, improving care management with decision support. The last year and half years were devoted to managing projects that streamline clinical processes and ensure patient safety.

As a nurse, I have been able to leverage my clinical expertise in the design and development of the various computer systems. My extensive experience has been valuable in bridging the gap between the business and the technical groups in addressing the challenges of IT in the healthcare setting.
